Fellowship Trained in Sports Medicine

Dr. Eric Stiefel is a Sports Medicine Fellowship Trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery and disorders of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and hip. Dr. Stiefel graduated Valdosta High School in 1998 and Valdosta State University in 2003. While at VSU he was part of the Baseball team for 4 years. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2007.

After medical school he proceeded to continue his medical training in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Florida until 2012.

In his final year of residency, Dr. Stiefel was selected by his colleagues to serve as administrative chief resident for the department of orthopedic surgery. After completing residency, Dr. Stiefel participated in the combined Mississippi Sports Medical Center and Tulane University Sports Medicine fellowship program from 2012-2013.

He is married to Samantha Stiefel, and they have two children Sarah Kathryn and Peton Lynne Stiefel.
